The collapse of the old world might be the beginning of something better.
As a Black woman, I have seen this world that we live in from my own perspective as so decrepit. So sad and pathetic. Looking at the world’s past, all of the wars, the slavery, the hoarding, the religions parroting patriarchal structures that keep society within hierarchical limitations…it’s so petty, that it’s gross! All of this energy, the beauty and magnificence in the world, and the structures that are currently in existence **insert stank face** are extremely disappointing. As disappointing as a subpar bedding with an unimpressive lover who lasts only but a few minutes before passing out. This shit is trash, and we could do so much better y'all, because this ain’t it.
I have been analyzing this world for a long time as I search for my own place within it, and most recently I have come to see it for what it truly is. At first I thought the issue was white supremacy, and that is a huge one, but then I saw that as a byproduct of patriarchy which feels just as weak because all of it seems to be a culture of ego stroking. It’s created a world of powerless feeling people who are constantly trying to make up for that powerlessness. This is what I see as petty and gross because it’s just caused so much destruction for unbalanced human emotion. Like huh? That’s it? That’s why the world is suffering, because of feelings of weakness? How pathetic is that? But removing my own disappointing view from it, ChatGPT actually helped me see what was going on here.
If you zoom out even further, patriarchy isn’t just a male system. It’s a human shadow system that formed under scarcity, war, and survival pressure. Early civilizations were harsh environments. Dominance and control became adaptive. Dominance culture is unintegrated shadow at scale.
So why now? Why is now the time for Airing Shadows?
Because the world has changed, and many do not recognize that the world has changed because WE have changed. The collective has changed. There has been a collision between the old world dying loudly — thrashing in its final attempts to maintain control — and those of us who have awakened to it trying to be heard. Those of us who have been quietly questioning things, wanting to step in but not knowing where. And lastly, the ones clinging to the old way of the world in fear of change.
I created Airing Shadows for all, however, feeling specifically cemented in that middle area, I wrote Airing shadows for us most. This is for those needing to reaffirm their own light, who may have thought they knew who they were but in the changing of self, feels disconnected. Or at least, this has been how I’ve felt. And what I know more surely than ever, is that being alone is an illusion. Being disconnected is an illusion. The reason we don’t see through this illusion is the disconnection we’ve allowed from ourselves.
The good news is that the disconnection is not entirely our faults. We’ve all been conditioned to believe the disconnection is the way of the world. That this is normal, but inside we know that something is not right here, but we’re keeping this to ourselves for fear of being the outlier. The time for correction of that is what I am calling for. It is now. And it starts with Self work. In a world where a LOT of us have been taught to be absorbed into ourselves, I’m saying let’s lean into that a bit…BUT for transformation.
We NEED to get connected with ourselves. The way we do that is by eroding the conditioning—the duties to family, society, religion, or whoever else—and weeding through what remains to discover what is truly…Us. We can start with asking, if none of that was even a factor, who would I allow myself to be? What would I create? Where would I take myself?
Why now when the world seems like its on fire? Slash and burn, baby. Well, that is I am referencing a growing technique used by civilizations of the past (some still do in the present!) who knew how to tend to this earth properly and how to make things vigorously grow. After so many harvests, they would slash down the depleted area and set what was left on fire. This process would re-enrich the soil and make way for new growth.
This is why the time is now. The powers to be have already slashed so much of the old world order as we know it, they used it as a means to control, the “flood the zone” tactics recently that have been used after a world plan to enrage the world’s men with fake comments, divisive, manosphere, red pill paranoia to turn them into soldiers who do their bidding in efforts to, from what I’m seeing, save patriarchy? Maybe to save capitalism? Or one of the biggest that has been plaguing our world for some centuries now, white supremacy?
Their reason for slashing it all doesn’t matter; all we know is they did not like the direction we were already headed in hence their reason for acting. And now, it’s all burning with the exposing of the most recent events in the political sphere and as the world’s inhabitants are able to see how its citizens are being mistreated all over. I could go into so many specifics in this arena but I don’t want to veer off focus from this call to action.
Now is the time to begin building the new world, so we’re ready to set up things in the ashes. Unfortunately for many, it’s not going to happen easily, but as so many of us have been suffering from disconnection, the reconnection to feel is already a huge reward we many not realize. Our humanity is being called upon in this reconnection, and that means feeling. So don’t run from what’s coming, instead I encourage us to run right into it.
And no, I’m not recommending we run into a fight, I am recommending that we change our strategy, by phasing it out. We’ve already been in a fight of dominance, and most of us feel like we’re losing, but in fact the reason the fight has become fiercer is because of all the changing that’s been going on. So we lean into this as a strategy. We don’t respond head on, we respond by making the old systems obsolete. We stop holding up their pillars.
How do we do this? By turning around and running into our own shadows. There is gold there, and we need to mine it, integrate these shadows, and shine. Glitter this world and let it sparkle the way it was meant to. When people integrate shadow, dominance culture stops making sense. The cultural evolution is upon us. So I invite you to use my tools, that way you can sparkle your glitter. If you can’t get them yet, use everything that you can within reach to get started, there are others with offerings as well. Scarcity got us here to this system of shadows, but for myself, rather than fear the unknown, I wish to go play in the dark and see what I bring to light. I want to create what I wish to see in the world. If you feel it too, I invite you to join me as a co-creator.
